Information for Senior Students

If you are a Senior student…

Russian Courses at ProBa Language School are recommended for senior students (more than 50 years old). Approximately 30% of our students are people older than 40. The oldest student was 85 years old. So if you are eager to join the language program in Russia, you’re welcome!

If you are a senior student please note some information, which could help you to prepare for your trip: russian senior coursesYou have to indicate in your Enrollment form your age, desired course type and preferred variant of accommodation. Please note that there are a lot of houses in the centre of St. Petersburg, which do not have a lift. On request your accommodation manager will provide you with appropriate type of accommodation not far from the school, with a lift. The school is located on the first floor, a short walking distance to the metro stations in the city-centre, so there is no problem with access to the school. Please do not hesitate to inform the school about any types of allergy, diets or special medication you use. The school does not provide the course participants with insurance, please purchase one trough a western company. First class medical aid is available in St. Petersburg through your western insurance.

All course types are recommended for Senior students including Mini-Group and Summer/Winter Special. Please pay attention to our Individual programs which are designed on the basis of your needs. Such courses may held on a special timetable and include some elements of Russian Cultural study and Russian Literature. Also the following services are available in the office: the mobile phones with a local number for rent , school car with driver, personal guide etc. You will get the full list of services with prices in the airport upon arrival. If a visa is needed: The school will provide you with an official invitation which entitles the Consulate to issue a visa. Students have to apply for the visa at the visa department of the Russian Consulate.

Alternatively you may use services of a different visa agency in your country. In this case it’s not necessary to contact the Consulate personally.

The Agency will provide you with the visa on the basis of our invitation. Please do not hesitate to contact the school administration for more information.
