Hot impressions about school trip to Moscow – 2026!
I’m sharing a few impressions after a weekend in Moscow, which I compare to Saint Petersburg, my city for the past few years.
Moscow is a major international metropolis, modern and lively, where everything moves quickly. Saint Petersburg, on the other hand, is more European and traditional, with a calmer and more relaxed atmosphere.
In Saint Petersburg, cafés and small shops are everywhere, creating a friendly atmosphere. In Moscow, restaurants are often expensive, while in Saint Petersburg, it’s easy to find pleasant places to eat well.
The architecture also tells a lot: Moscow mixes Soviet buildings, modern towers, and historic monuments, while Saint Petersburg is harmonious, with pastel façades, canals, and neoclassical style. Both cities offer a lot culturally, but Saint Petersburg stands out for its artistic side.
For tourism, Moscow impresses with its wide avenues and monuments, while Saint Petersburg charms with its palaces, bridges, and canals.
Moscow is a large, modern, lively city, where everything moves quickly and life is intense. Saint Petersburg is also a large city, but calmer, with a cultural atmosphere and pleasant streets to stroll and enjoy the architecture.
