The history FIFA World CUP has begun with the first official match of league in Uruguay in 1930. Then the FIFA president Jules Rome has decided to organize the international football tournament. So for the first time has appeared the idea of association of the strongest soccer teams of the world in a competition for a gold cup. The World Cup began with 13 teams which fought for a rank of the winner. At the moment more than 200 teams participate in qualification.
Prior to World War II three matches in the 1930th years have been played. Then the World Cup wasn’t held within 12 years. After a break the Championship renews and becomes the most significant sports event in the world.
The World Cup begins to be held each 4 years. Since 1930 have been played 20 tournaments, teams of Uruguay, Italy, Germany, Brazil, Great Britain, Argentina, France, Spain became winners.
In 2018 the World Cup will take place in Russia. Matches will be held in the largest cities of the western part of Russia: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kaliningrad, Volgograd, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Saransk, Rostov-on-Don, Sochi, Yekaterinburg.
