How to obtain a full package of documents, inluding a sim card and SNILS for long-term stay in Russisa, obtaining a work permit or Residence permit
1. You need a notarized translation of your passport and your registration.
A notarized translation of your passport can be obtained from the school.
The owner of your place of residence in Russia must register you within 7 working days of your arrival or changing place of residence and give you a sheet of paper from the process. This is your registration. If the student uses school accommodation, your registration can be obtained from the school.
2. The student goes to any МФЦ (official document center) in the same district as their registration and gets an appointment to receive a SNILS. You must have a notarized copy of your passport with you.
3. After receiving your SNILS, you need to get an appointment at your МФЦ to connect to “Госуслуги” for a date in 10-12 days (so that the data has time to be entered into the system)
4. The student goes to any telecom operator and buys a SIM card based on their SNILS. The SIM card is needed to connect to the app “Госуслуги”
5. The student installs the “Госуслуги” app creates their profile for it
6. A student goes to a bank (and register as a client of the bank) or their МФЦ, submits biometric data and connects a SIM card.
